A picturesque university town set on Scotland's east coast, just 50 miles from Edinburgh, St Andrews is a town that has been making history for more than a thousand years. Everywhere you turn there are lovely, graceful buildings, some dating back far into medieval times.

St Andrews coastline is home to many different sea birds, and seals and dolphins swim offshore. Inland, you can use the town as a base to visit some of Scotland's grandest mountains, the Highlands and its lakes (called lochs), as well as finding out more about one of Scotland's fascinating whisky distilleries.
