OUR STUDY COURSE

Our summer courses are deigned for students who wish to become more proficient in English.
The course programme reflects this awareness and is focused on functional language studies.
Classes are lerner- centred with all students being given the opportunity to speak as much as possible.
Lessons involve the use of pair and group work, as well as whole class participation. The greatest emphasis is on speaking and understanding, on helping students to enjoy their lessons. Active lessons, which evolve into amusing, intriguing, often unique exhilarating stories are carefully planned to help students learn and master the language with little effort.
Classes often become a live theatre, a stage where students under the guidance of a teacher play the most important part. Classes where the shyest students can become an extrovert actor, a leader of a chorus line.
A PLUS language course is an experience likely to help students to gain confidence and strengthen their character.

THE COURSE STRUCTURE
On the first day of the course, students undergo a placement test consisting of multiple choice grammar test, reading and listening tests and an oral interview. The courses are deigned around 20 lessons per week (45' minutes each) from Monday to Friday at up to five different levels from beginner to advanced.
There are generally 12-13 students in a class with a maximum of 15 students.
All our teachers have the correct qualifications to teach on our courses as required by The British Council, they are professionally prepared and are selected for their experience, friendliness and enthusiasm. In most cases they have a university degree or equivalent, at least one year's teaching experience and possess T rinity College of London Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (DipTESOL), or RSA (CELTA), TESOL or any other British Council approved equivalent TEFL certificate,.BEd degree or Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE.

Teachers do not always work from set syllabuses and programmes may change according to the needs of each class. If group leaders wish and provided there are seats available on the coash, they may also accompany students on excursions and upon request help out with sport and social activities
