OUR STAFF
PLUS recruits only fully-qualified personnel to work in our summer schools. Course Directors are always highly-experienced as both teachers and managers and are able to ensure the smooth running of the centre while overseeing the tuition programme. Most centres also have an Assistant Course Director who has proven experience as a Senior Teacher or Mentor and is able to support the Course Director and the teaching staff. All teachers working for PLUS, either as Residential Teachers or Non-Residential Teachers have undertaken intensive TEFL teacher training courses and/or are fully qualified teachers in the Primary / Secondary state school sectors. All staff are under the supervision of the Head Office in London.
Who's Who on campus?
Course Director - The Course Director has overall responsibility for the academic side of the programme. He/She guides the teachers and ensures lessons are running smoothly. The Course Director will look at the placement tests to decide what level is best for each student and will monitor their progress throughout the course. If students have any questions or concerns about your study programme, don't hesitate to speak to him/her.
Teacher - PLUS teachers lead classes every morning and students will get to know their teacher very well. Teachers are all native English speakers and want to help students improve their English while having fun with the language. Teachers also help out with some afternoon and evening activities and join the weekend excursions.
Campus Manager - The Campus Manager has overall responsibility for the wellbeing of all students while staying at our PLUS centre. He/she will check on the accommodation, catering, excursions and leisure programme to ensure everything is of the high standards we insist upon at our centres. Come and talk to the Welfare Director any time about anything!!
Activity Leader - Leisure Organisers run the afternoon and evening activities on campus. Students can recognise them by their PLUS T-shirts and sweatshirts. They are all native English speakers and can help ystudents practise their English while playing sports and enjoying the many leisure activities
Choreographers - Choreographers are solely responsible for planning and leading dance sessions and performing arts activities. They run afternoon and evening activities along with the Activity Leaders, and perform routines and plays.
