Course Directors
Are primarily responsible for the smooth running of the academic programme, including management of the team of teachers.
The role is the crucial link between the teachers, head office and the clients (the group leaders).
The role does not have fixed hours of work, and Course Directors may be required to work in the evenings and at weekends.
This is not a regulation 9-5 job. It is challenging, complex, rewarding and occasionally frustrating.
It requires someone with good organisational, motivational, team-building and diplomatic skills,
as well as self-confidence and the ability to stay calm in a crisis.
Course Directors may have to teach if:
a) a teacher is absent
b) they are working in a small centre
Need to be experienced enough to conduct observations of teachers and provide constructive feedback.
Are required to organise and lead the weekly staff development session.
Should have good IT skills (email, internet, Word and Excel).
Have to give presentations on the excursion destinations each week.
Keep up to date records.
Can be residential (preferred) or non-residential.
Salary£375 - £515 per week depending on the average number of students and whether you are residential or not
