USEFUL TIPS
Allocations/Bookings
The allocations not secured with relevant deposit payment within the terms or dates specified are automatically released by our computer.
No notice is given, and we cannot be held responsible for any consequence this may lead to.
Bed linen
Adequate blankets or duvets are supplied. Bed linen are laundered once a week. Towels are not supplied.
Behaviour
Clients are expected to demonstrate reasonable standards of conduct. A unruly or unsociable behaviour may result in expulsion from the centre.
In this event no refund will be made.
Cleaning
Cleaning varies from college to college. Common rooms and public areas are generally cleaned every day except on week-ends and on bank holidays whilst bed rooms are vacuumed every other day and cleaned thoroughly once a week Students are expected to make their own bed and to keep their bedrooms in good order.
Complaints
In the unlikely event that a customer wishes to complain about any aspect of services provided, he/she must inform immediately his/her teacher or our Welfare director. Within 36 working hours, we shall bring the problem to solution or pay a compensation to the student involved. No complaint notified after the termination of the course program will be taken into consideration.
Customs regulations
Knives or other weapons even if intended for self-defence must not be different imported into the different countries.
The same applies to live animals including pets.
Damages
The client is responsible for any damage to property or equipment caused by him/herself and must pay the full cost of replacement or repair of the damaged/lost item. In the case of a group, the group leader, or you as their agent, will be liable to pay immediately for any damage caused by members of the group. Failure to make such payments may lead to suspension of services to clients responsible.
Deposits
You are expected to pay a deposit of £ 50,00 per week for each place you have asked us to reserve. As specified above, if the deposit is not received during the time scale indicated, the allocation is automatically released by the computer.
Emergencies
A PLUS office is available at each campus during office hours. In case of emergencies students can contact a 24 hour help line seven days a week.
Insurance
You are expected to arrange full insurance to cover risks for medical bills, loss, theft, damage, luggage, and third parties responsibility. PLUS accepts no responsibility for lost or stolen property, if the property has not been entrusted to a responsible member of AEST staff and relevant receipt issued
Key deposit
Colleges may demand a down payment of an equivalent of £20,00 - £ 50,00 for the bedroom key. Students will be reimbursed on returning the key prior their departure
Laundry and Ironing
With the agreement of the host family, the washing machine at home can be used and an ironing board provided. Most colleges have coin-operated laundry facilities on campus..
Meals
Breakfast - 08:00 to 09:00
Lunch - 12.30 to 13.30
Dinner - 18.30 to 19.30
If not arranged otherwise, families are asked to provide
packed lunch every day. Groups may request a packed
meal.
Medical Assistance
Find out whether reciprocal health agreements exist
between your own country and the country where your
clients follow the study course.
Do please ensure that they have sufficient health
insurance. The addresses and phone numbers of local GP,
dentists and hospitals of each centre are displayed on
the information board and our staff will provide full
assistance and counseling whenever required.
Money
Though there is no restriction on the amount of money
students can bring into a country, it is advisable to
use just travellers' cheques which can be changed
at any bank or credit cards.
Notice Boards
Notice boards with General information, Tuition, Leisure
Posters and Day-to-day programmes, Weekly Menu,
Message Board are strategically placed and updated
daily.
Payments
Payments should be made at least 14 days prior to
the commencement of the course via sterling bank

Pay whenever it suits you better...you can postpone
payments, till whenever you deem it convenient,
provided you can offer the bank guarantee our
company requires. Contact us for further information.
Passports & Visa
Students must have a valid passport and relevant
visa (where applicable) or, for EU students an identity
card for EU countries.
Questionnaires
Students and groups leader are requested to complete
some questionnaire during and prior their departure from
the centre to enables us to intervene promptly and
adequately to solve any problem.
Religious services
Churches are indicated in the General Information
poster with relevant worship time services.
Sport facilities
College sport facilities may be used free of charge by
your clients provided they are not used by other people.
A timetable with more accurate information is regularly
displayed on the college notice board.
Telephone
Host families will probably permit local calls. Students
wishing to make international calls, should reverse the
charges by contacting the operator.
Transportation and Entrance fees
Local transportation and entrance fees to museums,
unless specified, are not included in the package price
Voltage
The voltage in the UK, Malta and Italy is 24o V
(210 in the USA) Students are advised to purchase
an appropriate adaptor before or entering the foreign
country.
