We group our centres into three teaching-load groups, based on the number of timetabled teaching hours each week. The weekly totals for each group are shown below.
We aim to split hours as evenly as possible between Week 1 and Week 2. However, at some centres the distribution may be uneven (for example, slightly more hours in one week than the other).
In addition to the base teaching hours for your centre group, you may be asked to teach an extra 3–6 hours per week, depending on course bookings.
Group A
Higher teaching load
Centres: Edinburgh; Dublin
Base teaching hours per week: 30
Programme type: Zigzag
With a zigzag timetable, you teach the same lesson content to two different classes on different days/times (for example, Class A on Monday and Class B on Tuesday). This usually means working 6 teaching hours per day.
Group B
Medium teaching load
Centres: London Uxbridge; London Harrow*
Base teaching hours per week: 24
Programme type: Zigzag
As with Group A, you’ll teach the same lesson content to two different classes on different days/times. This typically works out at 6 teaching hours per day.
* High season only, please enquire for details
Group C
Lower teaching load
Centres: Bath; Chelmsford; London Brentwood; London Epsom; Windsor; York; London Kingston
Base teaching hours per week: 15 (12 at London Kingston)
Programme type: Single-class (non-zigzag)
With a single-class timetable, you teach one class. Your teaching day will usually be either 3 or 6 hours, depending on the timetable pattern at your centre.

We do not anticipate major changes, but timetables may be adjusted before final confirmation. Please check this page again closer to the summer for the most up-to-date information.
