CENTRE DESCRIPTION

Set over 500 acres in the University of Hertfordshire, our Hatfield campus is located just outside the historic town of Hatfield and is the perfect choice for students who want to experience learning English in a university campus in a safe environment and for those wishing to explore London, which is only a 90-minute drive away.
Hatfield is a small town with a big place in history, with Royalty, nobility, political leaders, musicians and authors contributing to Hatfield's amazing past. Dating back to before the Norman Conquest in 1066, Hatfield played an important part in Tudor and Victorian history.
With over 400 years of history, Hatfield House, home to the Earl of Salisbury and the childhood home of Queen Elizabeth I, is a stone’s throw away from the campus. The ancient town of St Alban’s is also nearby and for Harry Potter fans, the Warner Bros Studio tour of the Making of Harry Potter is only 25 minutes away.

Young Learner Policy

The center is advisable for young learners aged 10 to 17.

If you have any specific requests for your group, please ask your sales representative, who will assist you in describing the programme in greater detail or help you find a suitable alternative.

ACCOMMODATION

Residential option
On-campus accommodation is in single en-suite rooms in flats of 6 or 8.

Bed capacity: 250

Homestay option
Host families are within 35 minutes of the campus. Students are accommodated in standard single or twin rooms. Travelcards are provided 7 days a week.

PLUS TEAM

The members of our team have been carefully selected for their responsible and caring attitude and for being fun-loving and outgoing. They are the people you can turn to at any time for assistance. Our PLUS Team will ensure that students enjoy their holidays in an exciting and safe environment. PLUS promises a wonderful, memorable, and enriching summer camp experience.

The PLUS Staff are there to help coordinate and organize afternoon and evening activities.
Organise sports tournaments and help students integrate.
The PLUS Staff are young, enthusiastic, and energetic.

GENERAL ENGLISH

Online level testing before students' arrival
16 English lessons per week (45 mins/lesson)
Maximum class size: 20 students
PLUS e-book and all supplementary materials provided

SPECIAL COURSES

In addition to General English, we offer special courses in our summer camps in the UK and Ireland. These courses are designed to provide young learners with unique opportunities to gain valuable experience and knowledge in addition to improving their English skills.

*All excursions include a walking tour and are escorted by PLUS staff. Long-distance transport is generally provided by private coach and alternatively by train. Day tickets for local transport are provided when needed.
